Andy Staples on national title picture, Heisman, and Honey Badger

Staples said if there’s going to be a one-loss team in the title game, that team will be from the SEC or Big 12 … and maybe the Pac-12. Staples said it’s not an easy road for a team like West Virginia in the Big 12.
Staples said it’s not clear if Tyrann Mathieu will be able to play FBS football next year. He said that Honey Badger may have gotten feedback that he needs more seasoning from the NFL.
Staples weighed in on Geno Smith’s Heisman hopes. He said that things are stacked against the prohibitive favorites. He said maybe someone like Ohio State QB Braxton Miller keeps rolling and gets in the mix.
