Bob Costas breaks down MLB Playoffs

NBC and MLB Network broadcaster Bob Costas joined the show to talk about

Costas said he didn’t watch the Monday night game because it’s postseason baseball time.

Costas weighed in on the controversial infield fly run call in the Braves-Cardinals game. He said that there was no way the shortstop was going to purposely let the ball drop to get a double-play.

Costas said there’s no reason for fans to throw things on the field in any situation. He said that kind of behavior is symptomatic of our society.

Costas had an interesting idea for re-ordering the wild card. He said they should have a three-game wild card — all on the field of the team with the better record.

Costas also commented on the latest statement by Jerry Sandusky. Costas said it seemed like he had time to craft a response. And Costas looked back on his interview with Sandusky and said there were pretty clear red flags that he could be guilty at the time.
