Yahoo's Pat Forde on Lane Kiffin's future, Notre Dame vs. SEC, Ohio State
Yahoo’s Pat Forde joined the show to talk about the big stories in college football.
— Forde said that it appears USC is committed to bringing back Lane Kiffin. He said, however, it’s been a really bad season for the Trojans.
— Forde said he thinks that Arkansas will probably be the best opening in the offseason. He said it gives you a better chance of recruiting over Tennessee, which is a close second.
— Dan asked Forde how good he thinks undefeated Ohio State is. “Even undefeated, I certainly wouldn’t put them in the top four,” Forde said. He thinks that they did set up for a great run in the future.
— Forde says he’s leaning heavily toward Johnny Manziel for the Heisman, although he will wait to see what Collin Klein does this weekend.
— Forde said SEC fans who say Notre Dame couldn’t handle playing that conference are being ridiculous. Forde said that not every team in the SEC is the New York Giants.
— Forde said that Oregon coach Chip Kelly is great at developing players, since they don’t have recruiting classes that translate to 12-1.
