Charles Davis never thought good friend Gruden was headed to Tennessee
FOX college football analyst Charles Davis joined the show to talk about conference title weekend and the Heisman.
Davis went to Tennesee and is good friends with Jon Gruden, who he used to room with when they were young coaches.
“I never once thought he would go to the University of Tennessee,” Davis said. He said that Vols fans shouldn’t make the mistake of expecting that hire.
Davis weighed in on the upcoming conference title games:
— Davis took exception to the claim that UCLA threw its last game against Stanford so it didn’t have to travel to Oregon for the conference title game.
— Davis said the SEC title game will come down to Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray. He said that Murray hasn’t performed in the big games.
