David Robinson says NBA should celebrate Gregg Popovich
Hall of Famer David Robinson joined the show to talk about Spurs coach Gregg Popovich resting his stars last night against Miami.
Robinson said that Popovich sat him against his will in his final seasons. “As players, you always want to play,” Robinson said. “All four of those guys would have loved to go out and play last night.”
Robinson is all for Popovich’s move. He said guys are always banged up and it gives young guys a chance. “If anything, the NBA should be celebrating a guy like Popp,” Robinsion said. “He brings good basketball every night.”
Robinson said that Popovich won’t care. “Whatever they do to him,” Robinson said, “it’s worth it [if] they’re playing for a championship in June.”
