Tom Curran says Belichick made ‘mercy signing’ with Tebow

Comcast SportsNet New England’s Tom Curran joined the show to talk about the Patriots signing Tim Tebow.
Curran said that Bill Belichick’s philosophy is show me what a player can do … not what he can’t do. So he may be looking for the positive in Tebow. He said it was a “mercy signing.”
Curran also said that Belichick has liked Tebow for a while. He took him out to dinner publicly before the Draft. Curran thinks he did a favor for Tebow back then to get him in the limelight.
