Brian Billick compares Pats’ view on Hernandez to how Ravens handled Lewis
FOX’s Brian Billick joined the show to share his perspective on Aaron Hernandez and compare it to when his player Ray Lewis was arrested.
Dan asked Billick why the Ravens didn’t cut Lewis after he was arrested. “We did not have all the information,” Billick said. “The player has rights. … We had to make those decisions based on our faith in the individual. We had faith in Ray Lewis.” Billick explained it took a while before they could talk to Lewis as well.
Billick said the NFL has a responsibility to let the process play out. Billick said if Hernandez is found not-guilty, he could potentially sue for wrongful termination.
Billick also commented of the state of the Patriots. He said they lost so much offense, that Tom Brady will have a unique challenge getting this new group rolling.
