Clay Travis says Johnny Manziel doing what a lot of 20-year-olds do

Outkickthecoverage.com and new FOX analyst Clay Travis (@ClayTravisBGID) joined the show from SEC Media Day to talk about Johnny Manziel and the latest from the country’s most influential conference.

Dan asked Travis how big SEC Media Day is. “As big as the Super Bowl,” Travis said. He said that it’s mobbed with fans and there are over 1,200 credentialed media.

Travis said that he’s hearing Manziel went out, partied and blew off the morning session with campers. Travis said it’s a big social event and quarterbacks get to know each other there. “The tough thing is balancing the fun aspects and the social aspects,” Travis said. “For Manziel, the social won out.”

Travis said that Manziel is just doing what a lot of 20-year-olds do. But the big question is will NFL teams be concerned about his off-field behavior.

Travis also said that a lot hinges on the Alabama game on Sept. 14. If he wins or loses that game will be a referendum on his offseason.
