Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston joined the show to talk about winning the Heisman and his remarkable season.

“They say I don’t have enough swag to be a quarterback. They say I’m not good looking [enough] to be a quarterback.”

Dan asked Winston which quarterbacks he looked up. Winston said Charlie Ward, Doug Williams and Vince Young. Winston said that he and his dad were big Williams fans.

Winston explained why he went to Florida State over nearby Alabama or Auburn (he’s from Alabama). “I just fell in love with Florida State,” Winston said. “Baseball was a big factor.”

Winston talked about dealing with the distractions resulting allegations he was involved in a sexual assault. He said playing helped. “The football field was my sanctuary,” Winston said.

Winston talked about how much respect he had for other Heisman candidates. He said that he’s a big Johnny Manziel fan and he’s seen all the other candidates up close.
