Keanu Reeves drops by ManCave
Keanu Reeves joined the show to talk about his new movie 47 Ronin, his other movies and sports.
— Reeves talked about growing up playing hockey. He played a ton growing up and actually thought seriously about heading that direction instead of acting. He confirmed his nickname was “The Wall” in high school.
— Reeves talked about Point Break and said there’s been a renaissance for the movie in the last year and a half. Reeves weighed in on Point Break director Kathryn Bigelow: “She’s a force.”
Reeves weighed in on the football scene in Point Break. Dan asked if he taunted Patrick Swayze after the tackle in the water. “You don’t taunt Swayze.”
— Reeves talked about playing a quarterback in the Replacements. “It made me wish I played football in high school,” Reeves said.
— Reeves looked back at some of his older films. He said that he appreciates Bill and Ted’s characters. Keanu said they’re like the Danettes.
