Charles Barkley still thinks Pacers could beat Heat

Charles Barkley joined the show to talk about the big storylines in the NBA and more.

Barkley thinks Kevin Durant is the MVP this year. But in general, Barkley thinks that the MVP is a “silly debate.” Barkley said that it doesn’t mean Durant is the best player. “Nobody thinks anyone has a chance to beat the Heat other than the Pacers,” Barkley said. He still thinks Indy has a very good chance. And he doesn’t buy into the Nets as a bona fide threat in the East.

Barkley thinks the Heat are vulnerable against the Pacers. “That’s a lot of weight LeBron has to carry,” Barkley said. “He has to do it all. They have no big guys.”

Barkley thinks the teams to watch in the West are the Spurs, Thunder and Clippers. He said the Rockets don’t have the perimeter defense.

Barkley also talked about some of his fellow Hall of Famers not tipping. He said guys like Michael Jordan might not do it, but he’s gone up to $75K after a good weekend in Vegas.
