Bill Laimbeer: Getting past Celtics was biggest challenge

Former Piston Bill Laimbeer joined the show to talk about the ESPN documentary “Bad Boys.”

Dan asked his reaction to the film. “A little bit of relief that it wasn’t a hatched job,” Laimbeer said.

Dan asked who the toughest opponent was – Boston, L.A. or Chicago? “Getting by the Celtics was the toughest thing for us,” Laimbeer said. “Their mindset was so strong … you couldn’t crack it.”

Laimbeer said that the Pistons were the team the Bulls needed to get by to be champions.

Laimbeer said that he really didn’t like the Celtics and they also weren’t too fond of the Lakers. He said if he sees those guys now, he’s friendly, but not overly friendly.
