Kevin Ollie on NBA reaching out, UConn’s run

UConn coach Kevin Ollie joined the show to talk about their national championship and more.

Ollie did talk about other offers. He said that one NBA team contacted him, but he wouldn’t say which team.

Ollie comented on Shabazz Napier’s role during the Tournament. He said it wasn’t as simple as letting Napier go. Ollie noted games and halves where Napier didn’t contribute much. But he was such a great closer, and at the end, he didn’t have to call plays for Napier … he was going to make a play.

Ollie talked about how close the Huskies were to losing to St. Joe’s in the first round and how it set up their incredible run.

Ollie talked about his NBA career. He made nine threes in his career and played for 12 teams. He said that he averaged 7 points  game at UConn but had a long NBA career.
