Bob Klapisch on role of smokeless tobacco in Gwynn’s death

Bergen Record columnist Bob Klapisch joined the show to talk about the role of smokeless tobacco in Tony Gwynn’s death. He said Gwynn believed smokeless tobacco led to cancer. Klapisch said that the MLBPA and everyone else should take a stand against this unnecessary risk. Klapisch said that he considers smokeless tobacco a performance enhancer, because it’s a stimulant.

Klapisch pointed out that smokeless tobacco is not that popular necessarily, but there are still over 9 million people out there taking this risk.
