Tim Howard on U.S.’s win over Ghana

U.S. goalkeeper Tim Howard joined the show to talk about their win over Ghana and to look forward to the rest of the tournament.

Howard talked about the feeling of when Ghana scored. He said it’s part of the game and the key is you don’t let you get it down.

Howard said that U.S. will have to play a near perfect game to beat Portugal.

Howard talked about adjusting to playing in England. He said he’s been in Everton for eight years and he’s now one of them.

Dan asked about his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo. Howard said he was great to be around. Dan asked if he’d rather look like Ronaldo or play like him. “Look like him,” Howard said.

Howard talked with Dan about the one time he scored a goal – it was in the English Premier League a few years ago. “I was a little embarrassed for the other goalkeeper,” Howard said.
