Jay Paterno on misconceptions on his father, Penn State

Jay Paterno joined the show to talk about his father and the aftermath of the Penn State scandal.

Paterno said his dad was far from perfect, but he said the evidence shows Paterno didn’t cover up anything. He said it’s painful to deal with people thinking his father didn’t support children.

Dan asked if this was generational. Jay said yes, no question. He said Joe told him that in the 1930s they would have just beaten this guy close to death on the streets.

Pateron also shared his view on many of the events that happened over the last two decades and some of what he feels are common misconceptions.

Paterno thinks the perception of Joe is changing nationally. And by lifting the sanctions the NCAA is beginning to admit that the Penn State football did nothing wrong.
