Trevor Bayne explains how he won Daytona 500
Daytona 500 winner Trevor Bayne joined the guest host Andrew Siciliano to talk about his surprising win.
Bayne said he didn’t expect this, even at that the end. He was working with David Gilliland and thought maybe he’d be involved in a pass at the end, but he didn’t think he’d be the one leading.
“I thought it’d be cool to tell my friends I was leading the last lap at Daytona,” Bayne said.
Bayne said that he’s very happy with how the win went down. “I’m just glad that we earned this and it wasn’t handed to us,” Bayne said.
Andrew asked him what the one thing he’d like to do now that he’ the Daytona 500 winner.
Bayne said that he wanted to meet Steelers star Troy Polamalu. “I’m a big Polamlau fan,” Bayne said. “I always wanted to go meet that guy. He’s animal and I’m a big Steelers fan.
