Mike Florio: Mediation may not help solve NFL labor issue
Profootballtalk.com’s Mike Florio joined the show to talk about the NFL labor situation.
Florio said that mediation isn’t necessarily a route to solving this. Florio said both parties are their voluntarily and aren’t bound by the mediator’s decision.
“All signs point to a lockout on March 4,” Florio said — with the caveat the league could be pulling off one of the “all-time great bluffs.”
Florio said that he thinks owners want to wait until players feel the pinch of not having a paycheck.
Florio also talked about Cam Newton meeting teams at the combine. He said Newton better tell the truth to teams, because off-field controversy definitely affects draft position.
