Dan Wetzel analyzes Ohio State controversy
Yahoo’s Dan Wetzel joined the show to talk about Jim Tressel and Ohio State. Here are some of his takes:
— Wetzel says according to NCAA rules, he should have turned over an e-mail about his players and a tattoo parlor immediately to his AD and compliance office.
— Wetzel said if you like Ohio State, you’ll think Tressel is protecting his players. If you hate Ohio State, Tressel’s explanation made no sense.
— Wetzel thinks that there is a good chance the NCAA will vacate last season. “The head coach knowingly played players you would presume were ineligible,” Wetzel said.
— Wetzel said that Tressel’s boss praised him and it seems like Tressel is in great shape and won’t get fired. Wetzel said the OSU president said “I hope Tressel doesn’t fire me.”
