Jon Heyman explains why MLB took over the Dodgers
SI.com’s Jon Heyman joined the show to talk about the Los Angeles Dodgers and why Major League Baseball took over the franchise.
Heyman said owner Frank McCourt has not made a good case to hold on to the team. Especially now that he’s split financially with his wife.
“There’s no evidence he can afford this team,” Heyman said.
Heyman said that MLB just want McCourt to go away and avoid a court case. But Heyman said that McCourt likes to go to court.
Heyman said that he thinks Bud Selig has actually been patient with the Dodgers. Because the McCourts have been an embarrassment for years now. And now that it’s clear McCourt doesn’t have the money.
