Kevin Ding says Thunder could pose problems for Lakers
Orange County Register Lakers reporter Kevin Ding joined the show to talk about the NBA playoffs.
“I think Oklahoma City is the team the Lakers will end up matching up with in the [Western Conference] finals is the Thunder,” Ding said.
Ding thinks that the Thunder will pose problems for the Lakers. Ding pointed out Kobe Bryant would have to check Russell Westbrook and that will take a lot of energy.
Ding commented on a report the lockout was part of the reason Phil Jackson isn’t coming back. Ding said that he doesn’t think that’s the case. Ding thinks Jackson was very close to retiring last season.
Ding also talked about Jackson’s successor. He thinks that Brian Shaw makes sense, even though he’s not a big name.
