Jeremy Roenick likes Sedin’s Game 7 guarantee
NBC NHL analyst Jeremy Roenick joined the show to talk about the Stanley Cup Final and his vendetta for Seton.
Roenick commended Vancouver star Daniel Sedin for guaranteeing a victory in Game 7. Roenick thinks he had to answer the question that way, and he likes athletes who have faith in their ability.
Roenick said that the Canucks will have a short leash on Vancouver goalie Roberto Luongo — especially in the biggest game of the year.
Roenick said it won’t be an upset if the Bruins win. “I think the Boston Bruins have proven with their hard work, determination and physical play that they are a team that can come back from a lot of adverse situations,” Roenick said.
Roenick said for the Bruins, goalie Tim Thomas has to continue to be stellar. Roenick said Thomas is the MVP of the series win or lose.
For Vancover, Roenick said their big boys have to show up. He said it’s more about the defense than the goalie.
Roenick did make it clear he’s going to get Patrick “Seton” O’Connor. Roenick “I gotta find something really demoralizing to get him with,” Roenick said.
