Cal Ripken comments on Derek Jeter’s 3,000th hit

Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr. joined the show to talk about Derek Jeter’s 3,000th hit and more.

Ripken thinks Jeter was pressing early in the season. Ripken said when he got injured, he got to take a breath.

“Maybe the injury was a blessing in disguise,” Ripken said.

Ripken said that Jeter looked “hitterish.” Ripken thinks he was seeing the ball and he thought the Yankees shortstop would get to 3,000 soon.

Ripken does think that Jeter belongs on the Yankees’ Mt. Rushmore.

Ripken also recounted the story of when he was talking to Dan at the Preakness and a fan confused him with the bodyguard from the Jerry Springer Show.
