Charles Barkley says NBA stars are trying to control the system

TNT NBA analyst Charles Barkley joined the show to talk about the upcoming season.

Barkley had strong comments on superstars like Chris Paul trying to engineer their next move. “The NBA’s not as much fun as it used to be,” Barkley said. “You want to play with good players, but you don’t want to control the system.”

Barkley had similar comments on Orlando’s Dwight Howard. “I’m kind of disappointed in Dwight Howard,” Barkley said. “If I was starting my franchise, I would probably start with Dwight Howard. I don’t understand why he wants to leave Orlando.”

Barkley weighed in on NBA players who went over to China.  “Those guys are stupid,” Barkley said. “I’d fire my agent.”

Dan asked Barkley if Kobe Bryant could ever surpass Michael Jordan. “Hell no,” Barkley said. He said that he even has Oscar Robertson over Kobe.
