Pat Forde breaks down BCS title game

Yahoo’s Pat Forde joined the show from New Orleans to talk about the BCS national title game.

Forde weighed in on what he thinks will happen tonight. “These are the two best defenses in the country,” Forde said. “These offenses are good but not great. The quarterbacks are OK. The gameplans are going to be don’t lose the game.

Forde said it’s conceivable that there could be a split title in some folks’ eyes if it’s very close. Forde noted that LSU’s body of work has been remarkable. Forde himself thinks every team knows the rules, and the winner of this game should be the champion.

Forde picked the Tigers to win the game tonight.

Forde weighed in on Penn State hiring Bill O’Brien. He said that he thinks the school isn’t used to hiring coaches.  “They didn’t have a lot of football guys on that search committee,” Forde said.
