Texans’ J.J. Watt weighs in on pick-six against Bengals
Houston Texans defensive lineman J.J. Watt joined guest host Mike Florio to talk about his incredible pick-six against the Bengals in the wild-card round.
Watt took Florio through the interception. “When I jumped up I was really just trying to get my hands up in the passing lane and make it a tough throw for [the quarterback],” Watt explained.
Watt said that his gloves probably didn’t help, because they were really old and lost their stick ‘um if it had that in the first place. He described the catch as “a combination of a lot of luck and some skill.”
Watt looked ahead to the trip to Baltimore. He said it helped that they visited there before. “You’re familiar with your surroundings,” Watt said. “You can picture yourself there playing a game. You can learn from your mistakes.”
