Siragusa: Ravens should have called timeout before missed FG, Pats picked on Lewis
CBS’ Tony Siragusa joined the show to analyze the conference title games.
— Siragusa thought the Ravens messed up by not calling a timeout before Billy Cundiff missed a potential game-tying field goal at the end of their 23-20 loss to the Patriots.
Siragusa also said that the officials should have at least reviewed the Lee Evans near-touchdown
— Siragusa thinks the Patriots a solid team, even though they were probably out-played against Baltimore.
— Siragusa weighed in on Ray Lewis’ future. “I texted Ray last night,” Siragusa said. “I thought he played a great game. I thought they tried to take advantage of him a little bit as far as the steps he lost on those underneath routes. They put a little bit of pressure on him as a linebacker who has maybe lost a step.”
— Goose said you have to put Eli Manning in any list of elite quarterbacks. “He’s just so smart out there,” Siragusa said. He thinks Eli helps the defense too, because that defense has more confidence because they know Manning can win it.
— Dan asked Siragusa who is more likely to get back to this position — the Ravens or Niners? Goose went with San Francisco. “They’re a young team,” Siragusa said. “They’re full of energy.”
