James Lofton on Rob Gronkowski, Peyton Manning and Jerry Rice
Westwood Radio analyst James Lofton joined the show to talk about the Super Bowl and more.
— Lofton said that back at the midseason point, it looked like the Saints and Packers were the teams to beat. But he noted the Giants were 6-2 at the half-way point.
— Lofton said that when Rob Gronkowski hurt his ankle, he originally thought that the Pats tight end was done for the Super Bowl. Then he came back on the field. Lofton, however, noted that Gronkowski had a lot of adrenaline going at that time.
— Lofton commented on Peyton Manning doing an interview. He said that no one made Peyton move his neck or jump up and down. We just don’t know.
— Lofton talked about the importance of gloves. He said they’re big, but not what makes the receiver. Lofton noted how big these guys are now.
— Dan asked Lofton what made Jerry Rice so good. Lofton said he was always impressed with Rice’s sense of balance.
