Tom Verducci says Bryce Harper’s supposed arrogance helps him
Sports Illustrated’s Tom Verducci joined the show to talk about Bryce Harper coming up for the Nationals and more.
Verducci said he’s not sure that Harper is here to stay in the MLB. The Nationals didn’t want to pull him up this quickly. Verducci said “talent-wise, this kid’s ready.” Verducci said Harper also plays all out all the time.
Verducci adressed his “arrogance.” Verducci thinks that makes him great. “I’m not so sure the maturity issue is going to hold him back,” Verducci said.
Verducci weighed in on the Roger Clemens trial. He said he thinks that lawyers are now more interested in it than baseball fans. Verducci said that he thinks Clemens (and Bonds for that matter) will both eventually get into the Hall of Fame — but it could take a while.
