Tomlinson talks about retirement and his legacy

Recently retired running back LaDainian Tomlinson joined the show to talk about why he’s hanging up the cleats and more.

“One thing I always knew,” Tomlinson said. “I could make people miss.”

Dan asked Tomlinson if he could have played this year. “Absolutely,” Tomlinson said, “and I had opportunities.

But Tomlinson said he wasn’t interested in the roles that were out there. “Nobody is knocking down the door for a 33-year-old running back to come play and have a major role,” Tomlinson said.

Tomlinson pointed out he was a rare running back that could stay totally healthy. “I played 11 years in the league and never had a surgery,” Tomlinson said.
