Jeff Darlington weighs in on Joe Philbin’s decision to cut Chad Johnson
NFL.com and NFL Network reporter Jeff Darlington joined the show to talk about the Dolphins cutting Chad Johnson.
Darlington isn’t sure if the ‘Fins should have cut Johnson. But he thinks head coach Joe Philbin did a good job explaining why they did it.
Darlington said he thinks we’ll see a lot of what really happened on Hard Knocks, but thinks we may not see Philbin talking to Johnson for legal reasons.
Darlington said that off-field trouble is out of character for Johnson. And Darling said that’s why linebacker Karlos Dansby disagreed with the move.
Darlington said that Philbin may have had a problem with how Johnson acted in front of the cameras.
Darlington thinks rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill has a good chance to start.
