Pat Forde on college football title contenders, Notre Dame
Yahoo’s Pat Forde joined the show to preview the college football season.
Dan asked Forde how many teams does he think is up there in the championship race. Forde said, “I think there’s five that may be ahead of everyone else – USC, Oregon, LSU, Alabama and Oklahoma.”
Dan asked for some wild cards in the national title picture. He went with West Virginia, Florida State and Arkansas.
Forde weighed in on former Notre Dame star Allen Pinkett’s comments that the Irish need to have more low-character players. Forde strongly disagrees. He said they have the same standards they did in the 1970s and they’re happy with that.
“I don’t think Notre Dame needs to change anything,” Forde said.
